Patrick has worked around the world as a writer, director, producer, and creative director. Most recently, he was the director/showrunner of the award winning six-part documentary series VACATIONS OF THE BRAVE for Amazon Prime Video, US, and the three part doc series MORE OUT THERE for Toyota.
His feature THE YEAR OF GETTING TO KNOW US, starring Sharon Stone, Lucy Liu and Jimmy Fallon, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and is distributed by E1. He has directed multiple episodes of the Family Channel/BBC series THE NEXT STEP and the Family Channel/BBC series MY PERFECT LANDING. He was a writer on two seasons of NEW SCHOOL, for Beachwood Canyon and DeA Kids Network, Italy, and on the series THE PARKER ANDERSONS and AMELIA PARKER, for Beachwood, Marble Media and BYUtv.
Patrick produced and directed the BBC short documentary series STORIES WITHOUT BORDERS and wrote and directed the short film THE POOL DATE for Boat Rocker, CBC and Bravo. His short DINNER ALONG THE AMAZON, for Shaw TV, was nominated for a Gemini Award and his short LOVE CHILD has won numerous international film festival awards and was purchased by HBO.
He currently has film and TV projects in development with Mike Tollin (The last Dance, Smallville, Coach Carter) and Amos Adetuyi (Beat the World, Diggstown).
Patrick has directed commercials for Nike, Toyota, The Body Shop, Quaker, Crispers and many other major brands. He wrote and directed the BMW short film DRIVE, which won gold medals at the World Media Awards and the New York Festivals of Advertising. He was founding Creative Director - and employee number three - of the UK film and television site Blinkbox and has also been Creative Director for the UK production company Hocus-Pocus and for TBWA/Chiat Day, New York.
As a journalist, Patrick has contributed to Canada’s Globe and Mail and National Post, and the UK’s News of the World and ShortList.
A graduate of NYU Graduate Film School, Patrick taught screenwriting at NYU and created the screenwriting course for Centennial College, Toronto.
